I am a broadly trained applied mathematician and I have a strong passion for mathematics education and research, particularly in applications of mathematics to biomedical sciences and engineering. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computational Neuroscience from University of Minnesota in 2005. After my graduate work I completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Mathematics at Vanderbilt University followed by another postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. I joined St. Thomas University in 2012 as an assistant professor of Mathematics. Details about my research can be found here.
