Although generally credits earned in an A.B.A. accredited program are completely transferable to your home school it is unlikely that participation in a study abroad program for only one summer may accelerate graduation. Students should check with their home schools and review A.B.A. Standards for Approval of Law Schools Rule 304 and Interpretation 304-4 if they desire to accelerate graduation.

The St. Thomas University School of Law program is not affiliated with any other educational institution in the United States or Spain. Rather, it is a free standing program solely under the auspices of St. Thomas University School of Law. Classes are held and the meals are provided at the Hotel Laceros in El Escorial Spain. The classes are held in modern air-conditioned meeting rooms with internet access and audio visual capabilities. The Hotel Lanceros is located about a 5 minute walk from the Hotel Florida, where the students and the faculty reside. At the Hotel Florida students have access to the Phillip II Room which has been set up as an on-site administrative office and resource center with internet access, a printer and a small resource library of materials relevant to the courses being taught. There is also a study area set aside in the Mezzanine of the Hotel Florida. The Hotel Florida is located across the street from the public library in El Escorial and students may also use that library to study if they so desire.
