Contemporary Biblical Scholars Event with Dr. Tremper Longman III

On Friday, October 25, 2013, St. Thomas University hosted the Contemporary Biblical Scholars Series public lecture with well-known Old Testament scholar, Dr. Tremper Longman III. Dr. Longman gave a presentation entitled, "Genesis and Gilgamesh: Reading the Book of Genesis in Light of Ancient Near Eastern Literature". The event also included a panel of four Ph.D. students from the Doctoral program in Practical Theology, a program offered in St. Thomas' School of Theology and Ministry. This panel of Ph.D. students consisted of Jonathan Best, Pianapue Early, Claudia Herrera, and Jamila Rauf. They responded to Dr. Longman's talk with pre-prepared comments. The event concluded with a question and answer period for everyone in attendance.
