The Enrollment Management Division of St. Thomas University is seeking a full-time Director of Admissions.  Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the director will be part of a dynamic team working together to achieve substantial enrollment increases.  The division of enrollment management includes: Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, Marketing, Student Success Center and Career Services.

Working in close collaboration with a dedicated team of professionals, the director will be responsible for achieving recruitment goals.  This includes tracking counselor conversion rates, reviewing weekly reports and insuring accountability for the admissions team.  The director is responsible for monitoring the university new student discount rate and confirming that averages are in line with the university financial aid leveraging system.

The director is responsible for hiring, mentoring and training a team of admissions counselors, assistant directors and support services team.   The ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive experience at the director or associate director level and demonstrated record of success at meeting enrollment and net revenue goals. 

The director will be responsible for:

  • Oversight of the travel schedule and tracking metrics
  • Coaching and training the admissions team
  • Continuous improvement of the CRM communications plan
  • Close collaboration experience in recruitment with athletics and co-curricular programs
  • File review oversight and a hands on approach to financial aid leveraging alongside the VP for Enrollment Management
  • Experience at a faith based college or university with a strong athletics program
  • Excellence in campus visit programs
  • A demonstrated network and relationships with area college counselors and advisors

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), a superior work ethic and strong team building skills.  An abundance of personal initiative, a sense of humor and the ability to add expertise to a highly dynamic enrollment management team is required.
