Undergraduate Admissions

Committed to Developing Leaders for Life, the university seeks undergraduate students that have shown a strong dedication to their educational pursuit throughout their high school and college careers. The undergraduate admissions process is simple - just follow the steps below.

Application Process

Applications are accepted throughout the year for freshmen, transfer, and international students. High School students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission in the fall of their senior year or as early as possible.

The Common Application

St. Thomas University is a member of the Common Application. If you would prefer to apply through www.commonapp.org (Undergraduate only) you can select to have your information sent to St. Thomas University.

Freshman Applicants


  • Obtain official transcripts from your High School transcripts or GED

Students with post-secondary course work must include college transcripts from every institution attended (i.e. Dual Enrollment)

  • Obtain official SAT or ACT test results*

Official ACT or SAT scores are required for admission to St. Thomas. Scores appearing on your official high school transcript are acceptable. You can also request to have your test scores sent to St. Thomas directly from the testing agencies. St. Thomas’s codes are:

  • SAT 5076
  • ACT 0719

*Official SAT and ACT scores are not required of International applicants, however it is strongly recommended that either of these tests be taken as the scores will be useful in academic placement.

In Person: Deliver your completed application in person to the Office of Admissions located in Mimi Dooner Hall, room 103.

Please note that all credentials submitted in support of your application become the property of St. Thomas University and will not be released under any circumstance.


Transfer Applicants

Only students having completed 12 credit hours or more from an accredited college or university are considered transfer students and are not required to submit SAT or ACT test scores; only official college transcripts need to be submitted.

Official college/university transcripts must be sent directly to St. Thomas University from the college/university the student is transferring from.


Special Student

Special Student is granted to candidates who wish to take courses as a non-degree seeking student. The Special Student (Non-Degree) Application must be completed and submitted to the Office of Admissions. The student may register for a maximum of 15 semester hours and are not eligible for financial aid and/or institutional scholarships. International students cannot apply for “Special Student” status.
