Follett Discover for Faculty

In partnership with Follett, we are pleased to announce the new textbook program. With this new program, students will have their textbooks ready for them before their classes start. Faculty should enter their textbook information using the “Maintain Books for Courses” on the MyBobcat portal. Conveniently, the Follett Discover is also accessible via Ember.

Program Overview

The textbooks packages will be ready for the students to pick up in between 24 to 48 hours after they register. Students may write or highlight the books as they like throughout the semester. By the end of the semester, students need to return (a.k.a., "check-in") the books to the bookstore. Liquid damaged textbooks are NOT acceptable for check-in at the book store.

Consumables (e.g., Lab Manuals, Workbooks, etc...)

Consumable books are paid for out-of-packet by the student at the bookstore. These books are theirs to keep. All the Consumables are to be picked up at the bookstore.

Add / Drop

If a student adds a course during the Add/Drop period, she/he will receive a textbook pick-up notification in her/his STU email inbox.

If a student drops a course during the Add/Drop period, the student will receive an email reminder to return the book(s), and it is her/his responsibility to check-in the book(s) at the bookstore.

If a student withdraws from the course (i.e., receives a “W” grade for the course), it is the student's responsibility to check-in the book at the bookstore before its due date.
