  • Promote efficient and effective technology improvements that enhance student learning and simplify their interactions with university administrative functions.
  • Ensure the seamless integration for all student, faculty and institutional information.
  • Promote an accurate, reliable, flexible and easy to use information management systems infrastructure.
  • Facilitate intra and inter departmental information sharing and support.
  • Ensure system flexibility and growth potential. Adopt technologies whenever possible based upon industry standards and the University’s present and future requirements.
  • Ensure that the funding, training and support resources are adequate and available to maintain the currency and effectiveness of the technological service.
  • Promote multi-purpose and shared allocation of resources and technological services.
  • Provide cost effective support services.

St. Thomas University Receives Lilly Endowment Grant to Help Pastors Thrive in Congregational Leadership

October 9, 2018 St. Thomas University (STU) has received a $1 million grant to help establish a unique program Investing in Pastors: Thriving in Ministry in South Florida. It is part of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s Thriving in Ministry, an initiative that supports a variety of religious organizations across the nation as they create or strengthen programs that help pastors build relationships with experienced clergy who can serve as mentors and guide them through key leadership challenges in congregational ministry. STU to Launch Football and Marching Band Programs in Fall 2019

August 29, 2018 History was made at St. Thomas University (STU) as the school is launching a football team and marching band for the first time ever. South Florida’s newest football team, the St. Thomas Bobcats, will begin practice in Spring 2019, while building the capacity to play a full season beginning in Fall 2019. October 1, 2018 St. Thomas University (STU) has established and named its Institute for Data Science and Analytics in honor of Lisa and Victor Mendelson.This significant gift helps propel the University’s data analytics and data science programs forward as a leading tech hub for Latin America and Europe.
