The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) provide services to more than 250 international students and scholars. International visitors from more than 60 countries contribute to its academic success, rich culture and diversity.
As members of the St. Thomas University family, internationals receive support services from the ISSS on immigration issues, understanding the U.S. culture, as well as identifying appropriate university resources. The Office engages the campus community through cultural, social and educational programs, in addition to working collaboratively with the Office of Student Life on various student centered projects.
Ultimately, the ISSS is here to assist international students and scholars, achieve their stated goals and is committed to “Developing Leaders for Life”.
To provide services and programs designed to foster the holistic development of non-immigrant students and scholars; enabling them to achieve their academic and professional goals. We provide advising and advocacy on immigration, cultural, social and personal matters.
To provide leadership, development of policies, programs and services in support of all international students and scholars. It is the primary support for non-immigrant students providing a student centered environment that encourages personal growth and development.
