Integrated Postsecondary Data Education Data Systems (IPEDS)
IPEDS is as system of survey components for over 7,000 higher education institutions in the United States. It is the primary source of higher education data that is used by the federal government and policymakers at the national, state, and local levels. Two useful tools that IPEDS creates for the public (based on an institution’s data submission) are College Navigator and the Data Feedback Report.

College Navigator is a free consumer information tool designed to help students, parents, high school counselors, and others get information about over 7,000 postsecondary institutions in the United States – such as programs offered, retention and graduation rates, prices, aid available, degrees awarded, campus safety, and accreditation. Click here to view St. Thomas University’s College Navigator Profile.

Data Feedback Reports are intended to provide institutions a context for examining the data they submit to IPEDS. The purpose of this report is to provide institutional executives a useful resource and to help improve the quality and comparability of IPEDS data.
