Blueprint for Leadership: The Campaign for STU

St. Thomas has launched an ambitious $100 million Campaign that elevates every area of the University. The Blueprint for Leadership is a student-focused plan that realizes the vision of a 21-st century institution of higher learning while staying true to our Catholic Identity through a value-centered education.

Innovative Programs
The University has expanded its offerings to include high demand fields such as Cybersecurity Management, Big Data Analytics and Sports Tourism. It also has launched impactful programs such as the Law School’s Solo Practitioner Incubator and Human Trafficking Academy and Biscayne College’s Center for Community Engagement.

Inspired Educators
Through endowed Professorships and Chairs, as well as research funds, the University is maintaining and attracting top academic talent. Recently funded positions include the Gary Goldbloom Endowed Distinguished Chair in Cyber Security Management; the Arthur Hertz Endowed Professorship in Sports Tourism; and the Florida Blue Endowed Chair in Bioethics.

Passionate Students
St. Thomas is focused on making a college education affordable and providing challenging, learning experiences. The Blueprint funds Scholarships in all disciplines from the Dr. Jan Bell Sports Administration Scholarship Fund to Pope Francis Scholarships in Pastoral Leadership. It also supports unique educational opportunities such as STEM Summer Research Internships; the Monsignor Casale Honors Program; the Richard Raleigh Service Internship Fund; and the Student Managed Investment Fund.

Extraordinary Facilities
From state-of-the-art laboratories to the home field advantage of great athletic facilities, the Campaign is creating a dynamic environment to discover, study and compete in. Under construction is the Gus Machado School of Business Complex, “a campus within a campus,” that reflects the modern workplace through open architecture and robust technology infrastructure. Recently dedicated were the Col. Jacquelin Kelly Softball Field, the Dominick Miniaci Beach Volleyball Complex and the Paul Mainieri Baseball Field.
