Dr. Gillig has been a full-time professor for 25 years with an additional five years of part-time university teaching. He has had over 20 years of clinical experience as a counselor and psychologist and supervisor including working with chemically dependent adolescents and adults in a dual diagnosis chemical dependency treatment residential unit. Dr. Gillig is currently a Professor and Coordinator of the Educational Leadership Master’s Program at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida where he teaches undergraduate, masters’ and doctoral courses primarily in the areas of research and psychology. His research interests include photopsychology, counseling outcomes, depression alleviation, chemical dependency treatment, treatment planning, and student mentoring. He has served as dissertation chairperson for over a dozen students and serves on numerous other dissertation committees.
