Volunteer with Thriving in Ministry

Volunteers will benefit by gaining and enhancing skills in their respected areas, as well as by serving one of the most important institutions in the community, God’s church. Volunteers can be used in the following areas:

Hospitality Team: Clergy will meet on campus monthly. If you are a student who is interested in setting up, serving, and cleaning up, there will be hospitality training taking place in August and January of each year. If you are interested in being a part of the media team, there will be training specifically for that as well. Email crose-mcintyre@stu.edu to submit the required information for acceptance.

Spiritual Companion: Personal commitment to the spiritual direction/companionship dimension of the program is required for acceptance into a cohort and will be a major part of this program. If you would like to be considered for spiritual companionship, please email sue@morningstarrenewal.org. There will be a one-day training for those seeking to be a spiritual companion to any of the pastors.

Requirements

Please note that the sphere of pastors and clergy is one that requires caution and care. Background checks, CVs, letters of recommendations, and credentials may be necessary depending on the volunteer role you are seeking.
