Froehle’s work is within practical theology, the theological discipline that brings the social sciences into dialogue with theology. He was elected to the International Academy for Practical Theology (IAPT) in 2009 and has served on the administrative committee for the Practical Theology section of the Catholic Theological Society of America (CTSA). He is vice-chair for the Center for the Study of Church Management, Villanova University and is on the advisory council of the Center for the Study of World Christian Revitalization, Asbury Theological Seminary. He previously served the boards of Loyola Press, the St. John Vianney Center, and Guest House.
