Engagements & Activities

Bringing the community to St. Thomas, bringing St. Thomas to the community

Through a variety of Center for Community Engagement activities, Bobcats take the mission of STU into the community and invite local youth, parents, and community leaders to join us on campus.  Within these mutually beneficial engagements, community members see what an STU education looks like up close and Bobcats learn about and through the community in which we study, work, and live.

The Center strategically works across campus departments to create and support student experiences that are complementary to objectives and initiatives of campus partners and the mission of the University.  These engagements can be curricular (course learning assignments, research, or internship), co-curricular (service learning), or community work-study.
