Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes

Assessment is a faculty-led process that works to improve student learning at St. Thomas University College of Law as we work to guide the development of attorneys. By setting measurable goals of learning, we identify what our students should learn by the conclusion of their education with us. At the College of Law, faculty collects and analyzes evidence of student learning through both formative and summative assessment devices. Finally, we “close the loop” by improving our academic program based on what we have learned. Our efforts to improve the Academic Success program, Bar Preparation, our Career Development Office, and our pro bono, experiential and writing requirements are examples of this process at work.

On this page, we will document our assessment activities, including reports that demonstrate our compliance with the American Bar Association’s Standards on learning outcomes and assessments. Please select the links in the menu to the left to review our assessment plan
