About Phi Alpha Delta

MISSION: Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International is a professional law fraternity advancing integrity, compassion and courage through service to the student, the school, the profession and the community.

VISION: We are the preeminent law fraternity promoting the bonds of fraternalism, and we are the leader in the development and advancement of professional ideals.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this Fraternity shall be to form a strong bond uniting students and teachers of the law with members of the Bench and Bar in a fraternal fellowship designed to advance the ideals of liberty and equal justice under law; to stimulate excellence in scholarship; to inspire the virtues of compassion and courage; to foster integrity and professional competence; to promote the welfare of its members; and to encourage their moral, intellectual, and cultural advancement; so that each member may enjoy a lifetime of honorable professional and public service.

Ms. Nguyen is a 2L. In addition to being the Vice-Justice, Ms. Nguyen is the secretary of the Intellectual Property & Cyber Law Society, and a Member-Candidate of Law Review. Her hobbies include doing hot yoga, cooking, and traveling.p>

Ms. Alcala is a 3L. In addition to being the Clerk, she is President of the Elder Law Society and Online Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review. Currently, Ms. Alcala is pursuing certificates in Elder Law and Intellectual Property Law. Her other extracurricular activities include volunteering for the Guardian Ad Litem Program and reviewing community services for The Children's Trust.

New Members

Step 1: Click here to register and pay the national fees.

Step 2: Click here to pay the STU Phi Alpha Delta Mentchikoff Chapter Local fee of $30.

  • Fill out the form, and in the box that reads "What is the payment for", choose "other" at the bottom of the drop list
  • A new box will appear that reads "Please Describe", please put "PAD Local Dues"

Step 3: Email your confirmation to padstumembers@gmail.com.

Step 4: Attend an Initiation Ceremony.
