David Bauer received his J.D. magna cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Professor Bauer has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2013 and is also admitted to the Supreme Court of the State of Florida and the United States Tax Court. He has recently been published in the Rutgers School of Law, Journal of Law & Public Policy, on the topic of independent contractor misclassification.

After returning to Miami from NYU, Professor Bauer opened his own law firm where he primarily focuses in the areas of tax, probate, estate planning, and real estate title issues. In his spare time, he coaches youth football with his son, and is an avid Miami sports fan.
