Jacob Hurst is a law librarian and Assistant Director for Public Services at the STU Law Library. Jacob oversees the library's reference, circulation, and media services staffs in addition to providing research and reference support to the students and faculty of St. Thomas University School of Law. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching in the areas of legal research and writing, and teachs Advanced Legal Research at Florida International University School of Law.

Jacob joined the library in 2011 after graduating with honors from St. Thomas University School of Law. While a student at St. Thomas, Jacob was an editor of the St. Thomas Law Review, member of the student government, and had the honor of serving Justice James E.C. Perry as an intern at the Florida Supreme Court. Prior to attending law school, he was employed in the banking industry in his native Utah and was active in several civic and professional organizations including the Rotary. Jacob received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in and a Master of Library and Information Sciences degree from the University of South Florida
