Linda Osberg-Braun

Linda Osberg-Braun draws on her years of experience as Deputy District Counsel for INS (now DHS) and her trial and criminal defense skills from her years as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Southern District of Florida. She is known for her ability to solve complicated immigration problems and focuses on developing immigration solutions and comprehensive long-term strategies for her clients. She graduated from Penn State University (B.S., Engineering Honors Program, 1985) and the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law (J.D. 1988). She is board certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Immigration and Nationality Law and served as president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, South Florida Chapter.

Ms. Osberg enjoys speaking before immigration, criminal, and trial attorneys regarding the immigration consequences of criminal convictions, asylum and on-going security and enforcement changes within the Department of Homeland Security. She is the recipient of the University of Pittsburgh’s 2010 Marjorie Matson Award for her work helping Haitian and Cuban refugees find freedom and safety in the United States and continues to volunteer and teach immigration lawyers dedicated to special organizations such as Catholic Legal Services.
