Jessica M. Orozco is the Metadata Librarian and Assistant Library Administrator at St. Thomas University Library. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Relations with a Minor in Geography and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Philosophy with a Minor in Art from Florida International University. She has a Master’s of Science in Library and Information Studies with the area of concentration in information organization from Florida State University. She has previously worked as an archives intern at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, where she arranged, processed, described, and created original metadata for books in James Deering’s library and archival photographs of the estate. She has also worked at a small security firm as the cataloger and archivist to the company’s special collections. Jessica brings to St. Thomas University Library experience in metadata, cataloging, classification, and management of resources, digital assets, and archives.
