Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan (“ILL”) is a service that is available for St. Thomas University faculty, staff, and students. Patrons can use this service to request to borrow materials that the University Library does not own by using Tipasa.

When a request form is received, the University Library requests to borrow the item(s) from another library. If the Library can borrow the requested materials, you will receive an e-mail when they arrive. It is important to note, e-mail notifications could end up in your Clutter folder. If you see you have not received a notification, check your Clutter and/or Junk folder.

Print materials can be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Electronic materials will be provided through the OCLC Article Exchange in Tipasa. When the electronic material is available, an e-mail notification will be sent out including a link to the item with a password. Files will be available for pickup for 30 days and may be accessed 5 times.

This process normally takes between 10 to 14 days and is free of charge, unless you keep the material past its due date.

If the material requested is a photocopy of an article, you do not need to return it.

Books must be returned to the Circulation Desk by the date on the cover band. Please, do not remove the band from the book.
