Study Rooms

Reservations

The University Library provides access to quiet study. Three study rooms are available for group study. All study rooms may be reserved for group study, and all may be reserved for group study (2 or more people) for a period of 2 hours. Visit the Circulation Desk to request a room.

Audiovisual Equipment

A variety of media viewing equipment (Smart TV, DVD player, and computer system) is available for use in all three study rooms. Gaming equipment may be checked out at the Circulation Desk.

Policies

Study Rooms are reserved at the Circulation Desk on a first come, first served basis for 2 hours. In order to reserve a room, your whole group must be present. Due to high demand, study rooms may not be reserved in advance. If the study rooms are full, you can visit the desk to reserve the room 10 minutes before the room is due to become available. Students may not renew a reservation if other students are waiting to reserve a room. Current STU ID is required to reserve a study room.

Study rooms are for use of STU members only. Priority will be given to undergraduate and graduate students.

Faculty may reserve a study room for class use in advance and with prior permission from library administration.

Children are permitted in the study rooms only if accompanied by a responsible, supervising adult. To learn more about the library children’s policy, please refer to the Library Handbook.
