Professor Edwards joined St. Thomas University in 2022 as a Nursing Instructor in the College of Health Sciences & Technology, School of Nursing. In this role, Professor Edwards is responsible for the delivery of quality education services. This entails engaging students, fostering learning, role modeling professionalism, and ultimately producing competently trained students prepared for professional careers. The school of nursing prepares pre-licensure students to safely care for patients and prepares the students for state requirement for nursing licensure exam. Successfully doing so requires professional nursing experience, additional training in teaching, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Professor Edwards has been a Registered Nurse with twenty-six years plus of experience in the clinical setting, she has worked in Women’s Health, OR, GI, Ambulatory and Clinical Informatics. She has been an adjunct professor since 2008. Professor Edwards empowers students on their education path by being a trusted resource for information helping to improve their life through education.
