May 8, 2020 Commencement postponed to December 11, 2020 due to COVID-19 outbreak.

St. Thomas University has taken the extraordinary action—in order to protect the health and safety of the community—of postponing Commencement and all of its related festivities originally scheduled for May 8, 2020. The Class of May 2020 will be formally celebrated December 11, 2020.

The university will still confer degrees this May to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students eligible to graduate.

May 2020 Diplomas will be distributed at the December 11, 2020 Commencement


Commencement Services

The Department of Student Affairs and Registrar’s Office is responsible for planning and coordinating the University’s Commencement Ceremonies. Student Affairs is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies to ensure a successful program involving a broad number of campus constituencies.

Commencement Ceremonies are held in May. All graduating students are invited to participate. For more information please contact: commencement@stu.edu

Baccalaureate Mass

Location: Fernandez Family Center for Leadership & Wellness
Date and time: December 10, 2020 at 7:00pm.

 

All graduates are invited and encouraged to attend the Baccalaureate Mass. Graduates should wear academic robes (no caps) Graduate Students may wear hoods. Guests of the graduates are welcome.
