Week of Welcome (W.O.W.)

Student Affairs hosts the St. Thomas University (STU)
First Year Convocation & Week of Welcome (WOW) for all new and transfer students.

Student Affairs hosts the St. Thomas University (STU) First Year Convocation and Week of Welcome (WOW) for all new and transfer students. The goal is to provide students and parents the foundation for a holistic approach on transitioning to college life from high school or from another college or university to STU. New and transfer students, along with their parents, will attend these week long events for information about academic programs, social and personal growth, health and wellness, intramurals, and university resources. Administrators, faculty, staff and students are brought together to demonstrate how the St. Thomas University family begins the process of developing “Leaders for Life”.

Week of Welcome offers you the opportunity to:

  • Meet your fellow Bobcats and create lifelong friendships.
  • Meet key administrators, faculty and staff.
  • Meet the Student Government Association (S.G.A.) and other student leaders.
  • Learn how to become a leader for life through student leadership and faith formation.
