Elias Bouboutsis is the Director of the Center for Ecumenical & Interreligious Dialogue. He is also a standing delegate to the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA, a local affiliate of the World Council of Churches. His interfaith work has included; an ACPE clinical residency in the Denver Psychoanalytic program, and full-time staff chaplain at the Chicago South Side Mercy Hospital; executive board service on the Metropolitan Chicago Interreligious Initiative, part of the Parliament for the World's Religions, and on the (Chicago regional) Ecumenical Millennium Committee; core faculty at the Florida Center for Theological Studies. His 2010 publication, Singing in A Strange Land: the Ancient Future of Orthodox Pluralism explores coexistence and engagement models drawn from early, Eastern and Ottoman-period Christian, as well as clinical and postcolonial sources.
