Tutoring Services Are Available!

St. Thomas University has a wide range of services available for students to help in their academic journey. One such service is the S.O.C.R.A.T.E.S tutoring center, located on the 2nd floor of the main library, where you can find a plethora of people to assist you with your work.
Our tutors cover topics such as data analytics, pre-calculus, algebra, trigonometry, chemistry, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and much more.

The tutoring team is made up of Gianluca Gaster, Rachael Tuffy, Cherop Jolie, Kyleigh Beecham, Guido Cacciabue, Balu Gorle, and Colin Fadden. Their schedules, along with the subjects they specialize in, can be found here.

Melissa Hahn, the STU Tutoring and Writing Center Coordinator, added that students may always walk in without an appointment, but to make sure a tutor is available, scheduling is best.
If tutoring on site does not fit into your schedule, then the online tutoring service Brainfuse can suit your needs. They operate 24/7 so anytime you need a tutor they will deliver.

You can access the application through MyBobcat, where you will be taken to their website. You just choose what subject you want to learn, and they will grant you an online tutor to assist you.
When asked why a student should consider tutoring, Mr. Beecham had this to say, “Tutoring can help improve a student’s weak points and help them excel in their academic career”.

Another tutor, Ms. Tuffy, wanted to add, “I get plenty of frustrated students who come to me for help. It’s never as serious as the student makes it out to be, and staying focused is what matters”.
So come on down! Whether utilizing tutoring online or in the library we have tons of people ready and willing to help you succeed in your college journey. Go Bobcats!
