Three + Three – B.A. + J.D. Program

The Three + Three Program offers students an opportunity to earn a combined Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor Degree. The Accelerated Law Program allows students to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor degree in six years instead of the traditional seven years.

Adjunct Professor Attilio M. Costabel has been invited to contribute to an upcoming publication by the Ibero-American Institute of Maritime Law (IIDM) on the laws of South America. The publication is scheduled for release in October 2025.

Professor Costabel teaches Admiralty, International Business Transactions, and Yachting and Boating Law, and is also the Director of the Admiralty and Maritime Law Certificate Program at STU Law.

Our Summer in Spain program is off to an amazing start! 🇪🇸

This past weekend, students explored the breathtaking Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the historic Real Centro Universitario Escorial-María Cristina, where we are excited to be holding classes once again for the first time since the early 2000s. Founded in 1892 and located within the historic grounds of the 16th-century monastery, the university blends academic excellence with centuries of Augustinian tradition.

Students also enjoyed a warm welcome reception hosted by Dean Tarlika Nuñez-Navarro and President David A. Armstrong, J.D., at Hotel Los Lanceros, before kicking off their first day of classes on Monday with Professors Lenora Ledwon, Christian L. Gonzalez-Rivera, Robin Peguero, and Vincent Ploton.

Yesterday, the Academic Success Program held its first "Spiritual Boost" session, a program aimed to foster spiritual growth, resilience, and community among spiritually inclined bar takers and law students.

The session was led by Assistant Professor Thomas T. Nguyen of Academic Success and Bar Preparation, and by Alexander Gomez, Director of Campus Ministry. Attendees learned about the inspiring process of canonization of saints and highlighted several remarkable figures, including Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, St. Thomas of Villanova, St. Joseph of Cupertino, and St. Thomas More, the patron saint of lawyers. It also included a moment of reflection on Matthew 11:28 ("Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest") and offered bar takers a chance to share their personal stories of faith and perseverance.

STU Law alumna Daniela Curiel (`23) generously donated rosaries, which serve as beautiful, tangible reminders of the power of prayer.

Thank you to all who joined us, and we look forward to the next session on Wednesday, May 28th, at the Skills Center.
