On April 9th, the Honorable Peter T. Fay Inn of Court held its final meeting of the academic year at Tuyo at the Miami Culinary Institute. The evening featured long-time Inn member and STU Law alumnus the Honorable Jose Rohaidy (`17), who was recently appointed to serve on the Miami-Dade County Court bench. Judge Rohaidy discussed his journey from law student to the bench and encouraged students to pursue the dreams that brought them to law school but also be open to new opportunities and experiences as they may arise.

Yesterday, the Office for Career Development alongside the Food Law Society, the Black Law Students Association, and the First-Generation Law Students Association, was proud to host a Lunch & Learn featuring Kristopher Zinchiak, Esq., Head of Legal for Chiquita Brands International North America.

Mr. Zinchiak shared valuable insights into the role of in-house counsel, and his personal development in the field. Students had the opportunity to engage in a dynamic discussion, gaining practical perspective on navigating legal careers within global corporations.

Last night, we had the privilege of honoring Herman J. Russomanno for an incredible milestone, 40 years of service at the STU College of Law.

A longtime adjunct faculty member, Chair Emeritus of our Board of Advisors, and former President of The Florida Bar, his impact on our students, faculty, and the legal profession is truly profound.

The commemorative plaque was presented by Tarlika Nuñez Navarro, Dean of the College of Law.
