Program Overview
STU’s Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program is designed for nurses with a master’s degree who seek to expand their scope of practice. This online program prepares APRNs to provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients from adolescence through older adulthood. Students are trained to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions, promote wellness, and prevent disease. The curriculum includes advanced clinical training in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering patient education and counseling.
