Carlota Toledo
Professor Carlota Toledo has over 20 years of experience in academic support and bar preparation ranging from public institutions such as Michigan State University and Indiana University as well as private universities. She has worked with the full range of JD students from teaching first-year students to helping graduates prepare for the bar exam.
Professor Toledo has extensive bar prep experience including creating and implementing curricular and co-curricular offerings as well as coaching and tutoring law school graduates in both Legacy UBE, NextGen UBE, and non-UBE jurisdictions. Her teaching is committed to promoting student self-assessment and the continuing improvement of skills in critical reading, logical reasoning, and professional identity. She has presented at national, regional, and local conferences on the topics of assessment, academic support, bar preparation, student engagement, and professional identity formation.
Professor Toledo has received research grants from AccessLex for module development for the NextGen Bar Exam. She is a founding member of the Association for Academic Support Educators (AASE).
