Jaime Franco, PhD is a Director at STU.

Dr. Franco, a native of Chicago, holds a B.S. and Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago, along with an M.B.A. and M.P.H. from Benedictine University. He also earned an LL.M. in Intercultural Human Rights from St. Thomas University. His multidisciplinary career spans higher education, corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. In Illinois, he taught at several colleges and held roles with Heartland Human Care Services, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Illinois, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and Elgin Mental Health Center.

In 2003, he joined Miami Dade College as a full-time faculty member before transitioning into corporate leadership with Royal Caribbean Cruises and later Broadspire. At FedEx Express Latin America & Caribbean Division, he directed training and development programs impacting over 4,000 employees across 50 countries. He also held a dual appointment as an Assistant Professor at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and served on the faculty at FIU’s College of Business Administration.

Dr. Franco currently serves as Director of the Institute for Ethical Leadership at St. Thomas University, where he leads academic programs and strategic initiatives. His research explores moral development, ethical decision-making, and minority leadership formation. He is principal investigator of the LP-LIFE study and is authoring two books. In his free time, he enjoys Pilates and marathon running.
