Dr. Justin Peart is a Professor of Management at the Gus Machado College of Business, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, Operations Management, and International Business. He also serves as a dissertation chair. Dr. Peart holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Florida International University and brings technical expertise from his earlier work as a computer programmer and systems analyst.

A passionate advocate for entrepreneurship, he helped expand the university’s entrepreneurial culture and founded STU’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, which he led for 16 years, while also contributing to social‑impact initiatives in Haiti and Cuba. His research focuses on entrepreneurship and marketing in developing countries, including emerging work in preventive marketing. A second‑generation educator, he views teaching as both a calling and a legacy. He has earned multiple recognitions, including Professor of the Year (2003) and the STU Faculty Excellence Award (2025), and has been an active member of major entrepreneurship and marketing associations for nearly two decades.
