Dr. Peter DelPiano is an Associate Professor and Program Director of Finance at the Gus Machado College of Business. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including International Corporate Finance, International Finance and Banking, Financial Management, and Hospitality Finance. He holds a Doctorate in Finance from Nova Southeastern University, an MBA from Binghamton University, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from LeMoyne College. With more than 30 years of higher‑education experience, he blends academic expertise with industry insight from corporate finance roles and financial planning work with individuals and small businesses.
Dr. DelPiano’s academic interests focus on investments and corporate finance, and he holds the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and Certified Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) credentials. He is active in community and youth programs, including coaching basketball, and is committed to mentoring students, supporting internships, and guiding finance majors as they prepare for successful careers.
