Solange Amado Blunt, DBA, CPA, CGMA

Dr. Solange Amado Blunt is the Program Director of Graduate Accounting and an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Gus Machado College of Business. She holds an Executive DBA in Information Security from St. Thomas University, a Master of Accounting from Florida International University, an M.A. in Inter‑American Studies from the University of Miami, and an MBA and B.A. from St. Thomas University. Since joining the faculty in 2022, she has taught undergraduate and graduate accounting, supported by more than 30 years of executive‑level industry experience.

Her background includes leadership roles such as Director of Financial Systems, Corporate Controller, International Business Manager, and Accounting Manager for multinational companies. A CPA licensed in Florida and Virginia and a CGMA, she brings expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, consolidations, M&A, treasury, internal audit, shared services, offshoring, automation, and compliance. She also advises the Student Accounting Club and remains active in the South Florida community.
