Judge Abby Cynamon was elected in 2008 to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court bench in Miami-Dade County. Since then, she has served in the Juvenile, Appellate, Civil and Family Divisions of the Court. Judge Cynamon served as an Administrative Judge of the Circuit’s Appellate Division from 2011-2017. Since 2018, she has served as a Track Leader for the Florida Conference of Circuit Judges, a role in which she plans educational topics and selects faculty for the Statewide Circuit Judges’ Annual Education Program. Judge Cynamon is a graduate of Barnard College, where she majored in History and Economics. She holds a J.D. and an LL.M in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to her election to the bench, she worked as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court. Judge Cynamon is a Past President of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She is a longstanding member of both the Cuban American Bar Association and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.
