Prior to a tenure at Universal Music Group directing legal and business affairs, Parron served as founder and CEO of Ritmoteca.com, the world’s first online music store. A self-taught software engineer, Parron’s company was a predecessor to the Apple iTunes store, resulting in his having been referenced by industry publications as the “inventor of iTunes.” A trailblazing pioneer and highly regarded deal-maker in the aggregation and distribution of media rights, Parron negotiated groundbreaking agreements with over 60 independent record labels, aggregating a catalog of exclusive distribution rights to over 600,000 song recordings, and was the first to negotiate digital distribution agreements with major record labels including Sony Music, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and BMG Music.

Parron is a seasoned contract advisor having been certified by the NFL, NBA, NCAA and FIBA. He is a committee member of the Sports Lawyers Association, is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell and has been repeatedly voted Super Lawyers by his peers in both Florida and New York for his expertise in Entertainment and Sports Law. He is ranked a Top 50 Music Industry Lawyer by the publication Billboard and serves as a Grammy Governor with The Recording Academy and an Emmys-voting member with The Television Academy.
