Marla Chicotsky

Marla Chicotsky, Esq., is a trial lawyer and seasoned advocate. She has tried over 100 jury trials and has handled countless evidentiary hearings and non-jury trials. Marla has also appeared on FOX News, HLN, and True TV to provide legal commentary on national legal news. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at her alma mater, St. Thomas University College of Law, where she teaches Family Law and Family Law Focus for the Bar.

Marla began her career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, in Broward County, Florida, where she prosecuted a wide variety of cases, including driving under the influence, drug-related offenses, domestic violence, and serious felony charges. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Marla went to work for a boutique criminal defense and family law firm. It was there that she found her passion for family law.

Ultimately, Marla founded her own firm to focus on her family law practice. Today, she actively litigates and tries all matters relating to family law, including dissolution of marriages, post-dissolution of marriage enforcement matters, post-judgment modifications of alimony, child support and timesharing matters, paternity actions, child time sharing issues and temporary and permanent restraining orders. To fully serve her clients, Marla is equally skilled at preparing prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Away from the office, Marla spends time working out, boating, and enjoying the company of her husband and daughter.
