Morenike “Reni” Saula

Professor Morenike Saula joined St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law as an Assistant Professor of Law in 2023. Professor Saula’s scholarly interests include investment funds, securities, commercial, tax and international law. Her recent publication includes “U.S. Securities Law as a Barrier to Foreign Funds” which was published in University of California Davis Business Law Journal.

Prior to joining St. Thomas Law, Professor Saula was appointed as the inaugural Business, Finance and Entrepreneurship Law Fellow and Visiting Associate Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School (GW Law). At GW Law, Professor Saula taught Tax policy law and Economic Innovation for Business Lawyers for three years. Professor Saula also co-founded the Annual Business and Finance Law Conference at GW Law, which she led for two years.

Professor Saula is a prominent member of Women in Housing and Finance (WHF). She also serves on the board of a non-profit organization which promotes economic empowerment for small business owners. Professor Saula practiced law as a barrister and solicitor at a leading commercial law firm where she primarily worked on matters involving banks and other financial institutions.

Professor Saula is a graduate of Coventry University, and the George Washington University Law School.
