Ylegnareb Caridad
Ylegnareb “Yleg” Caridad is an Adjunct Professor of Legal Skills and a member of the Academic Success team at St. Thomas University College of Law. She focuses her legal practice on residential and commercial property insurance litigation in South Florida.
A licensed attorney in Venezuela, Professor Caridad brings international legal experience to her U.S. practice, including work in oil and gas, environmental compliance, and labor law across Latin America. She earned her J.D. from St. Thomas University College of Law, where she served as a Research Assistant in cyber law and was recognized on the Dean’s List multiple times for academic excellence.
Her teaching focuses on building strong foundations in case briefing, legal analysis, essay writing, and exam strategy. She is deeply committed to mentoring first-generation and foreign-trained law students.
Professor Caridad volunteers with organizations that provide legal support in housing, consumer, and contract-related matters, including wrongful evictions, breach of warranty, defective products, and unfair charges. She is also a licensed Florida real estate agent.
