Message from the Dean

We are proud to inaugurate the Siegfried Wiessner Human Flourishing Distinguished Lecture Series. Since appointment, my vision for our College of Law has been one of academic excellence and growth. This initiative is both a well-deserved honor to this outstanding member of our founding faculty and a new academic outlet for scholars, national and international, to interact with and enrich our community.

Our College of Law’s mission includes training lawyers to solve problems of society, emphasizing lifelong learning and scholarship under Catholic auspices. Professor Wiessner’s entire career, before and since joining and helping found our College, embodies that guiding light, the soul of our institution. We are pleased to celebrate him and his lasting global impact in the special form of a perpetual lecture series dedicated to the fostering of a public order of human dignity.
