Prayers for Purpose: Special Intentions Mass Blesses STU Law Students Ahead of the Bar Exam

College of Law students blessing.

Yesterday, the Chapel of St. Anthony at St. Thomas University was filled with prayer and spiritual strength as the STU community came together for a Special Intentions Mass in support of College of Law students preparing to take the Florida Bar Exam.

Celebrated by Father Capó, the Mass offered a moment of reflection and encouragement for these dedicated students on the cusp of a major professional milestone. Joined by Dean Tarlika Nunez-Navarro, their friends and families, as well as faculty, staff, and members of the STU Cabinet, the students received a special blessing, symbolizing the University’s belief in their readiness and resilience.

Father Capó delivered a powerful homily, reminding the students that their tireless preparation, long hours of study, and unwavering commitment to justice reflect the very values that define the STU mission. His words served as both inspiration and affirmation, lifting hearts and spirits alike.

As the community bowed their heads in prayer, a shared hope filled the Chapel that each student would walk into the exam with confidence, clarity, and peace. Their journey to this point has already been marked by perseverance and purpose. The Mass served as a meaningful reminder that they are not alone, and that faith, family, and the STU community are cheering them on.

We are proud of our future lawyers and remain united in prayer for their success on the Florida Bar Exam and beyond. #PursueExcellence
