With 83% increase in enrollment, St. Thomas University has been recognized as one of the fastest growing universities in Florida by South Florida Business Journals.
This past year, STU welcomed the largest number of new students in 60-year history, obtained record fundraising, and was named the #1 for social mobility by regional universities in the South by U.S. News and World Report.
In addition, STU launched football and a marching band, and is poised to launch Women’s Swimming and Diving, and Wrestling this Fall.
College enrollment continues to swell nationally with some projections anticipating a 2% increase in total enrollment by 2028, including at many Florida colleges.
South Florida isn’t the exception.
Apart of STU, seven of the area’s colleges posted at least 5% enrollment growth during that 5-year period. Of the South Florida schools among the Top 30 in growth, five reported enrollment increases of more than 20%, but STU posted the most growth in the area.
