STU College of Law Hosts Successful Career Fair, Announces Fall Expansion
On February 4th, 2026, St. Thomas University College of Law, the largest law school in Florida for traditional J.D. programs as of Fall 2025, hosted a highly successful Career & Informational Fair, welcoming 269 law students and 132 employers representing 56 organizations across the legal profession. Among the participating employers were 26 alumni of the College of Law, reflecting strong alumni engagement and commitment to student mentorship and hiring.
Students engaged directly with employers from private law firms, government agencies, public interest organizations, and corporate legal departments, gaining insight into career pathways, internship opportunities, and professional expectations in today’s legal market.
The event also received special recognition with a visit from the President of the Florida Bar, Sia Baker-Barnes, underscoring the Fair’s significance within Florida’s legal community.
In light of the strong turnout and employer interest, the College of Law is exploring opportunities to expand career-focused programming later this year, building on the momentum of this event. This year, the number of participating organizations went up from 39 to 56.
