Plus Loans
The U.S. Department of Education makes Direct PLUS Loans to eligible parents and graduate or professional students through schools participating in the Direct Loan Program.
Note: A Direct PLUS Loan is commonly referred to as a parent PLUS loan when made to a parent, and as a grad PLUS loan when made to a graduate or professional student.
- The U.S. Department of Education is your lender.
- You must not have an adverse credit history. A credit check will be conducted. If you have an adverse credit history, you may still be able to receive a PLUS loan if you meet additional requirements.
- The maximum PLUS loan amount you can receive is the cost of attendance minus any other financial aid received.

Verification Forms 2024-2025
You will be notified if additional information is required to complete the financial aid process. If you are selected to complete the verification process, you will receive an email from the Office of Financial Aid to complete the missing document(s).

Citizenship Affidavit
This form is for the collection of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or other U.S. citizen/eligible non-citizen documents from students unable to present their documents in person.
Satisfactory Academic Progress
A student can appeal the decision to have financial aid eligibility reinstated. In the appeal, the student must state their reasons for failing SAP standards include a plan of action to correct the situation, and submit two (2) supporting documents. All appeals should be submitted to the Financial Aid Office within 30 calendar days of the day the suspension notice was sent, failure to meet the timeframe will result in a denial of the student appeal. Incomplete appeal will not be considered.
Professional Judgement Form
Students can request a professional judgment for (1) special circumstances/changes in income, (2) adjustment to budget (cost of attendance), or (3) dependency status override.
The Financial Aid Office will review all Professional Judgment requests and issue a determination letter within 3 to 4 weeks of receiving all required documents. Students must complete the necessary form and provide at least two (2) supporting documents for their request to be considered.
All requests are evaluated by the committee, and the decisions are final.
