Alex M. Denault

Alex M. Denault is the Founding Partner of Denault Law, a boutique tax law firm located in Coral Gables, Florida. His practice focuses on domestic and international tax matters, estate and trust planning, and business, M&A and corporate transactions. He has extensive experience representing high-net-worth individuals and families, advising on trust and estate planning as well as personal income tax and wealth transfer matters.

Prior to founding Denault Law, Mr. Denault served as Managing Director (M&A Tax) at KPMG, where he led buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions for public companies, private equity firms and entrepreneurs. He has also practiced as a tax partner at several law firms including Akerman LLP in Miami, Florida.

Mr. Denault earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where he earned an LL.M. in Taxation.

Mr. Denault is an active member of Tax Section of the Florida Bar, the Past President of the Greater Miami Tax Institute, Inc., and the past Vice Chair of the American Bar Association YLD Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Committee. He is a frequent international speaker and author on a variety of tax-related topics.
