Houson Lafrance

Houson Lafrance is the founder and owner of Houson R. Lafrance PA in Plantation, Florida, where he practices criminal defense, family law, personal injury and bar representation for law students throughout the State of Florida. Prior to starting his own firm Professor Lafrance worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, where he represented indigent clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges. He has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40, the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys Top 10 under 40, and Super Lawyers Rising Star.

As a 2014 alum of St. Thomas University School of Law, Professor Lafrance was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court Board and the Trial Team. Currently Professor Lafrance teaches Trial Advocacy Practice and is the Faculty Advisor for the St. Thomas University School of Law Trial Team.
