Kadean Wilson
Professor Kadean Wilson is a distinguished Legal Writing Professor at St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, where she specializes in Legal Research and Writing, as well as Advanced Legal Research and Writing. With a robust background in both criminal and civil litigation, Professor Wilson brings a wealth of practical experience to her academic role.
Before joining St. Thomas University, Professor Wilson served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. In this capacity, she honed her skills in motion practice and trial advocacy, successfully trying multiple criminal cases to verdict. Her extensive experience also includes a notable tenure as a civil litigation attorney, where she navigated complex cases in Insurance Defense, Premises Liability, Labor and Employment, and Civil Rights.
Professor Wilson graduated magna cum laude from the Florida A&M University College of Law and obtained an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. She is an active member of the Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has contributed to legal scholarship with a published article on wage discrimination. Licensed to practice law in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Professor Wilson is committed to advancing legal education and fostering a diverse and inclusive legal community.
