St. Thomas University is proud to announce that our eighth consecutive year of record-breaking enrollment growth is officially in the books!
Our incoming undergraduate class of 1,142 Bobcats, composed of 889 freshmen and 253 transfers, is 14% larger than last year’s historic class. This year’s group of new students hails from 40 U.S. states, and 45 countries represented by 221 international students. Athletics continues to play an important role in the STUdent experience, with 752 student-athletes joining our Bobcat Family this fall.
In addition, strong partnerships with Florida high schools have resulted in more than 2,500 STU Dual Enrollment students this fall, forming an important pipeline for future Bobcats. State funding allows these students to get a head start on college with free classes from St. Thomas University.
Senior Vice President for Enrollment Dionne Veitch expressed gratitude for the campuswide collaboration behind STU’s enrollment momentum: “Our continued new student enrollment growth sets us apart from downward trends affecting private colleges nationwide. From our Admissions team to faculty to coaches to administrators to students, our entire STU community has welcomed prospective students to campus. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a role in recruiting the next generation of Bobcats!”
With yet another strong incoming class, St. Thomas University continues to rank as one of Florida’s fastest-growing universities. Every year, we move closer and closer to our goal of becoming the Great Catholic University of the South!
