2024 Golf Tournament – FAQs
When is the tournament?
A. The Fore the Love of Education 2024 Golf Tournament will be Monday, April 21, 2024. The shotgun start is at 12:30 PM, but registration and the driving range will open at 10:30 AM. We highly suggest arriving as early as 10:30 AM to enjoy the day!
Where is the tournament being held?
A.The tournament is being held at The Club at Weston Hills – 2600 Country Club Way
Weston, FL 33332
Where is the money going?
A.All of the money raised from this event supports St. Thomas University student scholarships.
What is the format of the golf tournament?
A. 4-Man Scramble. In this format, each team’s players hit from the teebox, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location and choose the best shot again. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains that format for all 18 holes.

How do I sign up?
A. It’s easy to register! Please visit the page to get started. Your registration must be received by Friday, April 19th, 2024, in order to reserve your spot in the tournament. Please mail your completed registration form and payment to:

Who do I make my check payable to?
A.Please make your check payable to St. Thomas University.
Are you accepting corporate sponsorships?
A.Of course! We rely on sponsors to help us raise funds for student scholarships, and would love your help! Please visit the page for a list of available sponsorship opportunities.
Will there be a printed program this year?
A. To reduce our footprint on the environment, STU is no longer offering the full-printed Program that we have in previous years. Instead, all corporate logos will be displayed on the website along with some printed materials at the tournament.
Are you accepting donations if I am unable to attend or sponsor?
A.Yes, we are! You can donate online by visiting stu.edu/givenow. Or you may mail your donation (checks payable to St. Thomas University).

What is the deadline to register for a corporate or foursome / individual golfer?
A.The deadline to register for a corporate foursome, individual golfer is Friday, April 19th, 2024.
What is the deadline to provide player names?
A. The deadline to submit player names and shirt sizes is Friday, April 19th, 2024.
What if I don’t have a foursome?
A.No problem! Just click on the Individual Golfer option on this page. We will pair you up with other players to complete a foursome. Your registration must be received by Friday, April 19th, 2024 in order to reserve your spot in the tournament.
What do I wear?
A. The Club at Weston Hills suggests attendees wear collared shirts, long pants or walking shorts. The following attire is not permitted on the courses: t-shirts, tank tops, athletic shirts, cut-off’s or jeans. Metal spiked golf shoes are not allowed.
What are the sponsor benefits deadlines and specifications?
A. We are requesting high-resolution files (e.g., EPS, AI, PNG, etc.) of your company’s artwork as soon as possible. Any artwork submitted after Monday, April 1stmay not be eligible to be included in the promotion items for the tournament. Please contact Danny M.
